The HSC community was deeply saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Jorge Severini on October 29, 2014.  Jorge was a longtime member of the Haverford soccer community as well as the Eastern Pennsylvania soccer community.  Jorge coached or trained generations of Haverford residents. He coached Haverford High School Boys Varsity from 1989 to 2010. He coached and trained players and teams in the Haverford Soccer Club for over 25 years. Jorge's World Class Soccer School was one of the first soccer schools in the area.  He ran camps and clinics for over 25 years. Jorge has also worked with EPYSA's ODP program for many years.  Jorge was a longtime board member at HSC, and was recently made an Emeritus board member.  Jorge will be missed not just by our soccer community by the many fellow coaches and former players who shared Jorge's passion for soccer.

A former player has set up a fund www.youcaring.com/jorgefamilyfund  to be used by Jorge's family to honor him philanthropically. Thanks to everyone for their kind thoughts and remembrances of Jorge.
